MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

To vote on proposals or attend NPDL Fall, your school must be an NPDL member. Membership must be renewed annually. To register for 2022-23, click here.

If you were a member in 2021-22, you are currently in a grace period - your membership won’t expire until October 31, 2022.

Student representative designations from 2021-22, however, have already expired. Emails of 2021-22 student reps will be removed from our mailing list this weekend. To designate a new student rep, please renew your membership.

NPDL FALL

You are cordially invited to the NPDL Fall Invitational - an annual online tournament created with the goal of bringing together the parliamentary debate community from across the US.

The dates are October 22-23, 2022.

Building on the success of last season, we are looking for coaches from all NPDL regions to serve on the tournament staff. If you are interested, please fill out the application form. The next Board meeting is scheduled for September 13, so please try to apply by then.

LOOKING FOR STUDENT CORRESPONDENTS

Our Outreach team is looking for students interested in serving as NPDL correspondents this season! Correspondents will update rankings, compose news articles, develop curriculum, and assist with social media.

Please forward the application link to all the students on your team!

FALL MEETING OF MEMBERS

Our Fall meeting of members will be held Sunday, October 23, 12:30-2:00 PM (Pacific time). It will be on Zoom, so all members, even those who can’t make it to NPDL Fall, are encouraged to attend.

All proposals from that were on the Spring 2022 Written Ballot passed, except for Proposal 5, which was tabled. We will have the final up-or-down vote on that proposal at the meeting. Please email npdl.board@gmail.com if you want to suggest an amendment to that proposal.

TOURNAMENT CALENDAR

The calendar of all tournaments that will count for points is now up on our website. If you know of an online tournament that’s not on the calendar, please encourage the tournament director to apply for approval. Eligible in-person tournaments are approved by default.

FINANCES REPORT

The budget summary for the 2021 TOC is now in our member Google drive.
